Our Mission Statement
We are the family of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, a community of individuals united by the love of Christ.
We reach out to all through prayer, spiritual formation, liturgical offerings, education, a welcoming spirit and service.
We are a perpetual adoration parish, sharing this opportunity with the surrounding communities.

LENTEN REGULATIONS FOR FASTING & ABSTINENCE
Week Days of Lent
There is no obligation to fast, however,
voluntary acts of self-denial are recommended.
Ash Wednesday & Good Friday
These are days of Fast and Abstinence from meat.
There is a limit of one full meal for all between the ages of 18
and 59 inclusive.
Days of Abstinence
All those who have reached their
14th year are bound to abstain totally from meat.
Easter Duty Obligation
After they have received their First Holy Communion, Catholics are bound by the
obligation of receiving Holy Communion at least once a year.
This precept should be fulfilled during the Easter Season.
Catholics are also bound to confess serious (mortal) sins at least once a year,
but this is not limited to the Lenten/Easter Season.

Vigil Mass Saturday 5:00 p.m.
8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. & 6:30 p.m
Holy Thursday, April 13th
No morning Masses.
Confessions 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
6:30 p.m. – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
(Adoration at the Repository until 11 p.m. &
resumes Holy Saturday after Vigil Mass).
Good Friday, April 14th
Day of Fast and Abstinence
No morning Mass.
3:00 p.m. Solemn Service
The Passion with Veneration of the Cross
and Holy Communion
7:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross.
Holy Saturday, April 15th
No morning Mass.
12:00 p.m. – Blessing of the Easter Foods
Confessions – 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
8:00 p.m. Easter Vigil Mass
(Adoration resumes after Mass).
Easter Sunday, April 16th
Masses: 8:00 & 10:00 a.m.
Easter Egg Hunt for children Ages 10 and under
after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, refreshments follow.
No 6:30 p.m. Mass.
New Mass Schedule
Daily Mass Monday through Friday: 7:45 a.m.

REGISTRATION FOR NEW PARISHIONERS:
Please call or stop into the Parish Office to fill out a registration form. We would appreciate notification if you move or change your registration at anytime.
A parishioner is one who belongs to the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Community. As such, are committed to worship and participate spiritually, socially and financially in the life of the Parish. Adults over the age of 21 should register independently from your parent’s registration.
Baptisms are held on the second Sunday of the month at 11:30 a.m.
Baptismal Preparation Class is held on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Church.

The Common Policy for all the Dioceses of New Jersey requires a period of preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony. Arrangements should be made one year in advance. Please call the Parish Office to schedule your appointment with the Parish priest, before any social plans are finalized.
PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK:
Arrangements for Communion Calls to the sick at home can be made by calling the Parish Office. Please notify the Parish Office when a parishioner is in the hospital.
