A parishioner is one who belongs to the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Community. As such, are committed to worship and participate spiritually, socially and financially in the life of the Parish. Adults over the age of 21 should register independently from your parent’s registration.

Baptisms are held on the second Sunday of the month at 12:15 p.m.
Baptismal Preparation Class is held on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Church.

The Common Policy for all the Dioceses of New Jersey requires a period of preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony. Arrangements should be made one year in advance. Please call the Parish Office to schedule your appointment with the Parish priest, before any social plans are finalized.

Arrangements for Communion Calls to the sick at home can be made by calling the Parish Office. Please notify the Parish Office when a parishioner is in the hospital.

(You don’t have to be a fabulous singer…just like to sing!)
The Children’s Choir is now under the direction of Ms. Peschi
(our church cantor and music teacher at Belhaven Middle School).
Children in grades 3 through 8 are welcome to join!
We will rehearse every Thursday from 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. in the choir loft.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 29th.

The Adult Choir, under the direction of Stephen Beddia,
will be meeting in the choir loft on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Any student in high school is more than welcome to join the adult choir.
First rehearsal will take place on Thursday, September 22nd.

Buy a Brick

As a Parish Fundraiser we are offering memorial bricks to be placed on the garden pathway. This is wonderful way to memorialize a loved one, as well as special events in our lives, ie. anniversaries, first communions, confirmations etc. Please fill out a form in the bulletin or call the Parish Office at 609-927-1154.

Homebound Holy Communion

Our Lady of Sorrows’ Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are readily available to bring Communion to the homes of the sick. If you or someone that you know is a shut-in and would like to receive Communion, please let us know by contacting the Parish Office at 927-1154.
